Procurement Manager – Surrey – c£43k

We’re working with a London Borough who are keen to hire an experienced Procurement Officer / Procurement Manager as follows:

  • Based in Merton (Surrey) with flexible / hybrid working
  • Leading the full procurement lifecycle for works and services contracts, including planning, tendering, evaluation, contract award, and contract management.
  • Negotiating terms and conditions, draft contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure service delivery and works execution align with contractual obligations.
  • Applying UK public procurement regulations and processes.
  • Collaborating with teams and stakeholders for efficient project delivery.

Suitable Procurement Officer Applicants will have:

  • Significant procurement experience within the public sector
  • In-depth knowledge of Public Contracts Regulations (PCR) and local government procurement rules.
  • Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, MCIPS) or a desire to work towards such in post
  • Experience with tender preparation and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skill
